    With and Into

This may be irrelevant, but does one collide "with" or "into" someone? In other words, wouldn't you walk into someone but collide WITH something? Or are they one and the same?

"Collide with something" is a collocation. We never use into with collide.

"Walk with" and "Walk into" are also collocations but mean different things: to walk alongside and to crash into(when talking about people only), respectively.

We also have 'bump into', which can either mean collide or meet by accident.

You can collide with people or you can collide with things. You can also "run into" somebody either figuratively or literally.
