    the pronounciation of June

    Dear teacher,
    What is the correct pronounciation of June?
    Should I pronouce u-e as "cute"? or "flute"?
    Or either way is ok?

    you asking about yod-dropping. In American English, yod-dropping is common after alveolar consonants. In this case, the sound of j is alveolar.

    /k/ is not an alveolar; thats why you see yod.

    First of all, I'd like to tell you it's "Pronunciation", not "Pronounciation", incorrect spelling. The correct pronunciation of June is

    June / dʒuːn /
