    Questions

Scenario: Do you have any questions?

Are these correct? If not, why?
    1. Yes, I want to ask you, how is the pay here?
    2. Yes, I want to ask you how the pay is here.

For the scenario above is it better to use #1?

    Re: Questions

If the scenario is an interview, I'd change it to 'would like' not 'want'. If you're actually talking, then I'd use either. If not, then the second would be correct. 'How is the pay' would get an answer about whether it is good, competeitve, etc. If you want exact figures, use 'what'.

What do you mean by the second is correct if I'm not talking?

    3. I would like to ask you, what is the pay here? (Is this sentence grammatical? If not, how do I correct it?
    4. I would like to ask you what the pay is here. (This is a sentece? When someone asks you 'Do you have anything questions?' , can I use #4? If not, what can I use?)

    Thanks.
