This is really specific. It depends on the country culture and/or laws.
You may have age limits for:
    - driving
    - watching movies
    - voting
    - accessing specific internet sites
    - enrolling a course
    - drinking alcohol
and so on. The actual ages depend on the details of the country/region.
These limits are not exactly for children, but mostly for teenagers.

What are the age limits for those examples in your country?

By the way, since you are talking about age, there is not a specific consensual age to define the toddler/child/teenager/adult limits. I mean, up to which age would you consider a human being as a child?

Note that, in English, we use "to be" with ages.
"I am 32 years old." NOT "I have 32 years old."

Re: who has any ideas about age limits of children?

Considering the title of the tread (General Language Discussions) maybe we can convert the question into "at what age should children start to learn a foreign language and should there be a lower limit of age for this without interfering the process of learning their mother language.

That is a good one euncu. However, if I were you, I would start a new thread with that title - believe me, it is better. Afterwards you may post a link here to this new thread if you wish.

Thanks for the suggestion and I'm sorry for having been so implicit.I was just implying in a kind way that the question posed by julianna didn't really fit in the title (General Language Discussions ).The title is defined as in the following paragraph.

"An area for general discussions about the English language. Any non-language discussions should be conducted in the General Members Discussions area."

As a result of my intention mentioned above I tried to make the original question fit the GLD title.

I know that sometimes, some topics may seem too vague to fit in any title and it is hard to make up one's mind where to put the question. But I think that the one julianna posted is not one of them.
