    Are both sentences correct?

    Hello everyone, Happy New Year, I have a doubt that is the following, are both sentences correct?


    President hopes to conclude the work before ending his administration

    or

    President hopes to conclude the work before the end of his administration

    Q:Which president?
    A:The president
    Q:What does he hope to do?
    A:
    1)President hopes to conclude the work before ending his administration
    If 1 is true, he really dislikes his administration and wants to end it.
    If it is not the answer pick the second,and add "the" in the beginning.
