Default Should '2010' be enclosed by commas?

The year, 2010, will be a crucial year in the history of Singapore with the next general election most likely held sometime either in the middle of the year or towards the end.

Should '2010' be enclosed by commas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks again.
