    Default street protest

    hi,
there is a word that i can not determine whether it is grammatically correct.
1)face with the street protest ,the nation is almost overthrown.

consider the word"street protest" , is it a correct interpret the word"street" function as a adjective , modify the word"protest"?
    thank you
