'seek' or 'seek for'?

Please tell me which sentence is more correct:


He will seek for his rights in court.


or


He will seek his rights in court.

Don't use the "for," but I'm not sure that "seek" is the right word for this context in any case.

He my pursue his rights, or seek justice, but "seek his rights" sounds odd.
