    Default return = get back/move about = get about/circulate = get about

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

They have just returned from their polar expedition.

They have just got back from their polar expedition.

We have to get back on the right path.

to get back = to return to a person, place, or condition

When will I get this book back?

to get back = recover something

Itís a great relief for a convalescent person to move about again.

Itís a great relief for a convalenscent person to get about again.

    He is already getting about.

He gets about with a stick.

to get about = to begin to walk

Trams and buses make it easy to get about.

to get about = to move on

She gets about quite a lot, working for this firm.

The news got about that he is getting a divorce.

to get about = to circulate, to become current

A rumour is circulating that we are going to have a new chief.

A rumour is getting about that we are going to have a new chief.

    getting about = circulating

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

I wouldn't use "begin to walk" as a definition. I think "move around" would work quite a bit better. Other than that, it's fine.

(My advice is to avoid "begin to" in general.)

I think ‘get back’ as an idiom is non separable.

The bank got back the entire loan amount with interest.
She got back her health after taking complete rest for one month.
Is there a download that I have to do to get back this feature
