    Default correction

    Hi,

    Is it incorrect to say or write " thank you so much or thank you very much " ? because an expert told me that we can say thank you or thank you much rather than saying thank you so much or thank you very much.

    So is it correct or incorrect, please let me know.

    "Thank you so much" or "Thank you very much" are both quite acceptable as expressions of gratitude.

    Your "expert" might be confusing "many" with "much".

    It's acceptable to say, "Many thanks", (but never "Much thanks")
