Default How to explain the sentence?

    Hi,

"That being said, not too many people would like to have 12 dogs to stay in their houses."

How do we explain the former part of the sentence grammatically " That being said?"

    Thanks a lot!

    Paula

Grammatically, it's a pronoun + gerund & past particple. It means something like 'while accepting what you have said, here's an additional idea/extension'.
