Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

The Forum section will feature the film “Я” by Igor Voloshin, who is already known in Berlin for his punk drama, “Nirvana”.

feature (v) = show the film

The features of the Tschuktschi pronounce them of American origin.

feature (n) = the characteristic parts of a person's face: eyes and nose and mouth and chin

Fear, hope, dismay featured every face.

feature (v) = have as a feature; show; manifest; betray

The Government posters feature precisely the same epithets.

The latest popular actress is featured in this new film.

feature = play the leading part

All laboratory men feature in this research.

feature = promote

The characters cannot be very minutely featured.

minutely = in minute detail

minute = characterized by painstaking care and detailed examination

feature = depict; picture; portray

Weather reports are a feature of the morning paper.

An account of the fire was a feature of the Sunday supplement.

feature = a prominent or special article, story, or department in a newspaper or periodical

Bear in mind that, according to the contract made with Turkey, Azerbaijan’s gas from the first phase of Shah Deniz development is being supplied to Turkey at the price of $120 for 1000 cubic meters.

bear in mind = keep in mind = remember

However, neither Ankara nor Baku are in any hurry to disclose the revalued cost of Azerbaijan’s gas transfers to Turkey after April 15, 2008, while saying this information is part of a commercial secret.

revalue = to evaluate anew; reappraise

According to the arrangements made, these issues are being addressed as a single set.

a single set = package

Unlike in recent years, these negotiations are not as smooth – the parties have not been able to overcome some of their disagreements.

overcome = get over; surmount

She managed to overcome her shyness.

We have to overcome temptation.

overcome temptation = yield to temptation

I was overcome with grief and rage.

overcome= seaze; grip

Many people were overcome by fumes from the burning factory.

overcome = envelope

To be overcome by (with) drink.

Thank you for your efforts.

Regards,

V.

To me, it's a bit more than just showing- they will show the film, and it will be the main or one of the main films.
