    Question Training Ears

There are theories of improving pronunciation, remembering better and faster new words but I didn't find any theory of improving listening to English or better be able to hear English sounds. All textbooks on listening comprehension just test your listening ability but don't teach you 'how to hear'...So I wonder: do you know any good theory of training ears to hear better English sounds-I can repeat everything what I've just heard even if I don't know meaning(s) of a word... Thanks a lot for your effort to help me.
