    conditional clause

    Can you tell me which of the following sentence is correct?

    1. I usually come on Monday and Friday. Friday is optional if funding is still a problem.

    2. I usually come on Monday and Friday. Friday will be optional if funding is still a problem.

    The first sounds better to me because of the use of 'still'.
