    Default rock America

"I would like to go to New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, and Phoenix, and rock America! "

What is the meaning of "rock America"?

As for the context, It was said by one of the hopefulls in the TV programme "Bank of Hollywood". He claims he want to spread "laughing yoga" across America.

    Thanks.

Do you understand the idiom of "you rock my world"?

This person wants to have a sudden, surprising, and significant impact on the U.S.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Red face Re: rock America

I cannot thank you enough for this explanation. :) yes, it is so clear now. It just didn't come to mind that it is a verb.

    Thanks a lot :)

The way it was written, it sounded like "rock" was some other location in the U.S. I had to read it twice myself!
