    advise or advice?

I am not a native english speaker and wonder why do we have two spellings in the same meaning?

    Thank you very much.

Their meaning are not the same. 'Advise' is a verb and 'advice' is a noun. I am not a teacher.

This is not bad anyway. Only one letter. I omit whole words very often

By the way, there are many words that can be spelled in some different ways. It shouldn't be surprising.
