    Subject and object pronouns

Dad and (he,him) rafted on the river at the bottom of the canyon. He or him? If it were he, shouldn`t the question read: He and dad rafted on the river at the bottom of the canyon. ?

Shouldn't the question read 'He and dad rafted on the river at the bottom of the canyon.'?

Why do you think 'He' should come first?

'He' or 'Dad' can come first.

You can put either 'he' or 'dad' first to form a compound subject, but for framing the question, use helping verb 'did' as:
Did he and dad raft on the river at the bottom of the canyon?
