    attendance allowance

    "we get an attendance allowance, which is paid in months when our attendance is over 95% " could you please tell me what this sentence means??Thank you for your help.

    It means that you get some money, normally not that much but maybe enough to cover expenses, if you meet the 95% target.

    These guys are being paid allowance (which is basically money) for their good attendance. Anything over 95% is considered a very good attendance and they are rewarded for it.

    Thanks very much, but I have one more doubt: is attendance allowance a salary? what exactly is it related to? is that you have a salary and on top of that you get this attendance allowance???

    If a worker is given an allowance to attend, they are probably being paid at a lower rate than they would get when actually working. An allowance could also be paid to someone not working.
