    Hi,
Don't use present perfect (has lost) with a specific time reference (yesterday).

Kartik lost his water bottle yesterday in class.

You can move "yesterday" around to be first or last in the sentence as well.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
