    Status or standing

When I was confronted with translation of a sentence meaning Afghanistan women enjoy fewer rights than men, I don't know which word to use. Is it Afghanistan women has no standing or Afghanistan women has no status?

"Afghani women have a lower status than Afghani men". "Women in Afghanistan have no status".

Dangerously descending into politics. The same status as males in all things.

    Re: Status or standing

It's a translation exercise of a statement made by somebody else.

This is an exercise on the best way to write something, nothing more than that. No one is expressing an opinion on anything other than language
