    difference

    Hello everyone,

Is there any difference in meaning of these both sentences?

1.) West German retails sales grew less than a third as fast as the ecomony as a whole last year.

2.) West German retails sales grew less than a third as fast as the whole economy last year.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dany

    Re: difference

Not really, but the first sounds more natural to me.
