    Centred around!

The story of this novel is mainly centred around the Georges and the Stevens.

    Is this expression correct?

    Are there any alternatives?

    Re: Centred around!

Not sure about BrE but AmE would be "centered around".
Alternatives: "is mainly about", "focuses on/upon", "centers on"

    Re: Centred around!

For us, 'centred' is OK. I loathe 'centred around' with the intensity of a million Suns, but it's all too commonly used.
