When should we use "ed" at the end of a word becuase its very confusing
eg We say hurt and not hurted ,so how we will come to know when we are suppose to use ed at the end of the word

Study the difference between the regular and irregular verbs. I think that's what you mean. And try not to generalize word formation rules, because there are always exceptions.The stuff you need can be found online through a very simple search.

"ed", or just 'd' when the verb ends in 'e', is used to make the past tense form of regular verbs.
But there are many irregular verbs; they form the past tense in other ways, and sometimes the present and past tense verbs are the same.

examples of regular verb
talk..talked
work...worked
paint...painted
smoke...smoked

"hurt" is both present and past tense. "hurted" is not a word.
