Question Please help, What does this mean?

"One good thief is worth ten good scholars"

    I couldn't find it anywhere.

A good thief is being compared to ten scholars. A scholar knows a great deal about one particular area. Ten scholars know ten times as much, so a good thief knows a great deal about . . . thievery, I suppose.
