    Dear teacher, what does this word mean

    a guy posted some pictures of some unknown people on internet without their permission.
    when his friends didnt agree to him doing that, he excused that:"i think they would accept coz they have posted all these pics on public sites"

    i want to know what is this word coz short for? course, right?
    if so,what does it mean here? thanks

    PS:I originally thought coz is short for cousin or course in this contexts.

    It's a conjunction. Consider,

    Question: Why did I think they would accept?
    Answer: Coz (because) they have posted all these pics on public sites.
