    2. What's the origin of the word "China"? Any story about this word?

    2. No one knows why "China" is the word used for that country in English. The most popular theory is that the name comes from Sanskrit, a very ancient language of India. In that language, the Ch'in dynasty was called something like "Cin." As people in the West made contact with India, they used that word to talk about China. Today, many languages use a word that sounds like "China." In Spanish it's "China," in French "Chine," in German "China," and so on.
