1.We are only selling products, just wait for people to come to our country and buy our products. Please explain "wait".,why not use waiting?

2. But what I find that is truly and beautifully magic is these people, friends of mine, who are now happy, friendly, warm and optimistic people. What is the function of "that is"?

***** NOT A TEACHER *****

Hello, Notletrest.

Many times an American mother might say to her naughty child:

You just wait until your father gets home!!! (He will punish you.)

OR !!!

An American father might say:

You just wait until your mother gets home!!!

Here in the United States, the genders are equal.

***** Thank you for your question *****:)

1.We are only selling products, just wait for people to come to our country and buy our products. Please explain "wait".,why not use waiting?

Another reason is that these are two sentences:
"We are only selling products. Just wait for people to come ..."
In your original, it's understandable that you'd want 'wait' to be 'waiting'. With your original punctuation, "waiting" would work. The question is: Does it mean that?

I agree with you.I am sorry I haven't the book in which it is quoted at hand. But I am sure if it had been two sentences I wouldn't have coipied it down.Even if it was two sentences, logically I wouldn't think it is good. The first one spoken of us (We are only selling products,),the following is asking others to " just wait for people to come to our country and buy our products."It sounds illogical,I am afraid. So I think it is wrong.
Glad to listen to you!

hi,

I just want to say that logic is consistent whereas grammar is full of exceptions.

Cheers
