    Default As you aware

    Dear All,

Is it correct to use the introductory phrase "As you aware"?

Example: As you aware, the point is still pending.

I think it should be: As you are aware, the point is still pending.

Please tell me which one is correct.

Hi, sayd19. I'm not a teacher... though I will be soon!

The correct version is "as you are aware". You are correct!

Yes, but it's better to say: as you know...

    To be aware of smth....
"As you are aware of it " sounds a little bit awkward to my ear...
"As you know" is better, I think....

And "As you are aware..." is better than "As you know of it..."
Neither of these idioms use "of it" at the end.

I have never heard someone say "As you know of it"... I just say " As you know..."

So both "as you are aware" and "as you know" are as correct and as common as each other.
