    one of your works?

    Dear Friends,

When I have read an academic paper and send an e-mail to its author, can I say:

I have just read one of your works?

    Thank you.

    Re: one of your works?

Technically, you can, but it sounds a but awkward, I'd use papers if that's what it was, or publications

    E.g.
"I just read one of your papers"
"I just read one of your publications"

I agree with Ranok; you can say work, but it sounds more like a full book to me, so one of your papers sounds better.
