    Default present continuous tense

    Hi,

I've often heard people say 'I'm driving' when being asked 'How did you come here?'. Is it correct?

    Thanks

I think the answer should be "I drive".
I'd like to know the answer from teachers.
    Thank you !

No, the answer to "How did you come [get] here?" is "I drove".
In general, you don't answer a past tense question with the present progressive tense - unless you do in Malaysian English.
