Hello,
This is my very first post in the forum. I've to give the English examination on 30th of August. This topic I'm creating about prepositions so as to ask others to for correction of my wrong solutions.
I'm not a native English neither people here are very expert in grammar. So I had to search over internet and Google brought me here. I hope I'll find this forum as helpful as I saw others in this forum.
I'll not make other thread for preposition, just post all of my exercise solutions in this thread.
Here, I've solved some of the exercise, Please let me know If I'm correct.
(i) How many (among) the members will join the trip?
(ii) We had to climb slowly (up) the hill.
(iii) Don’t lean that ladder (against) the wall.
(iv) Even the new drug could not cure him (with) his illness.
(v) The cat likes to rub its head (against) my legs.
(vi) If you go (into) a river you go towards its source. - Meaning of the sentence is not clear.
(vii) There is only one bridge (over) this river.
(viii) Many of us eat (with) fork and spoon.
(ix) The referee ordered two players (to) the field. - Meaning of the sentence is not clear.
(x) We have not met (since) early last year.
Thanks
