    confused

    Dear teacher,
I am confused about using countable and uncountable nouns.
Using correctly between two words "fruit"(uncountable) and"fruits"(countable) is extremely difficult to me.
    Please help me.
    Thanks.

    Re: confused

    The noun "fruit" is non-count,

I like fruit, animals, and colors.
    *I like fruits. (ungrammatical)

The noun "fruits" is somewhat a new addition to the English language. It is uses in the produce field. You might come across it on a sign at your local foodstore. It refers to more than one kind of fruit.
