    Default Sentences.

    Please correct me if I write these sentences incorrectly.
    1. The policeman ordered them not to play football in the street.
    2. They had been driving for 3 hours before they stopped for lunch at the roadside restaurant.

    I'd change 'before' to 'when' just to be on the safe side, but otherwise, your sentences are fine, Mylevt.

    'On the street' is OK too, because you can be in or on the street.

    No, I don't agree with you about that.
    It is impossible to use whether on the street or in the street.
    I think there is something different. But I don't know how to explain. I need someone.
