Present perfect continous (Sentences)

1) Garbage trucks have been dumping the rubbish in a heap.
2) People have been drilling and preparing the walls to hang up curtains.
3) The giant person has been ducking his head to get through the door.
4) I have been mounting my bicycle when I want to pedal and steer it.
5) Soldiers have been wounding citizens in every war that happens.
6) Huge military forces have been occupying Afghanistan since 2001.

I'm getting used to some rather strange sentences being used purely for the purposes of these tense exercises!

As far as the present perfect continuous is concerned, they're fine.

My only issues would be:

- We don't usually prepare walls in order to hang curtains. They're hung on rails, or tracks, or curtain poles. Perhaps preparing walls for painting or wallpapering would have been better.

- Although "to mount" is technically the correct verb for a bicycle, it sounds a little old-fashioned. In BrE, at least, we normally say "to get on" a bike.
