    bad blood

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

..the newspapers and political stooges have been trying to create bad blood between the workers and returned soldiers.

bad blood = ill will, malevolence

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

    Re: bad blood

    [NOT A TEACHER]

    Bad blood means:
"feelings of hate between people because of arguments in the past".

    For example:
There has been bad blood between the two families for years.
