    Default Comma

"In the event that the malfunction was not caused by a defect of the XXX provided by ZZZ but, for example, the contrary-to-instructions conduct of the customer, a hardware error, or third-party software...."

Should there be a comma before "but"?

    Thanks!

    I wouldn't put a comma there.
