Hi, Buddy, and welcome to the board.

We expect you to write the letter yourself first and then we correct or improve it for you.

Your English is good enough to explain the situation fairly clearly for us (though I'm not sure what you mean by application), so go ahead and have a try.

So, this is my draft:

Respected Sir,

PERMISSION TO COME BACK TO SCHOOL LATE

I would like to ask for permision for absenting myself in class for the first few weeks.I went back home during the vacation and because of some personal reasons i will not be able to come back on time.I hope you kindly grant me this request.Thank you

Good try, Buddy.

Always capitalise I. Leave a space after a full stop, comma or question mark.

Oh, ok I think I should not say application, but a 'formal letter'.:-?

So, this is my draft:

Dear Sir, (if you're sure the headteacher is a man)

I would like permission to absent myself from class for the first few weeks of term. I went back home during the vacation and because of some personal reasons I will not be able to come back on time.

I hope you will kindly grant me this request.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

It would help your cause if you specified your 'personal reasons' in your letter to the headteacher (you don't need to tell us what they are).
