    Please help.

    Dear teacher.
I don't understand what the phrase " on the native way" in the following sentence means.

"Film of all kinds are the favourite programs of many viewers, young and old alike. However, television affects us on the native way, too. we have seen a lot of movies about violence on T.V every day."

Is the way to choose words to write not good?

Is there the better way to write?

Please help . Thanks very much.

    Re: Please help.

It's a very strange phrase to me- I think the person means that exposure to violence makes us more primitive.

    Re: Please help.

    Dear teacher.
Please give me some spare time to explain these sentences. They are too difficult for me to understand.

" The times is not an easy paper to read. It would mean little to the two million adults in Britain who cannot even read more popular papers. It would also be difficult to understand for many to whom English is a second language."

    Please help. Thanks a lot.

    Re: Please help.

Seems to me that it simply means that "The Times" is a paper which is difficult to read and understand by as many as two million British readers, and even more difficult for non-native speakers

    Re: Please help.

Why don't they write as easily to understand as you do so that I can grasp the meaning quickly?
    Thanks a lot.
