"hot" confusing

Hello,

In English the word hot means both "Being at a high temperature" and "Causing a burning sensation, as in the mouth; spicy eg. hot chili pepper".

So let's say I cook some soup that is 90 degree Celsius AND I have put 2 kg hot chili pepper in it.

For me this is a stupid situation I mean what should I have to tell my guest?

Be careful! It is hot - I mean the temperature and it is also hot errr there is chili pepper in it?

This is strange for me because in my native language there are two separate word for it and like in the example above it might often happen that both meanings are true in the same time.

If you told me it was hot and spicy I would know exactly what you meant.

You have to give other information. It's just off the stove, AND it has some kick to it!
