    Default laugh about

    Hello English experts,
Years ago I always thought we used "about" in combination with "laugh".
    "To laugh about something".
However, I cannot find such combination, I can almost only find "laugh at."
    Don't we:
    Laugh about a joke? (Positive)
    I know we:
    Laugh at someone. (Negative)

    Cheers!

I would say "laugh at" a joke, "laugh about" a situation/something that had happened.
