    Default heavy in places

The book is heavy in places and poorly indexed.
What does "heavy in places" mean?

It comes from the phrase "heavy reading". If we refer to a passage as "heavy reading", this usually means that it requires a lot of concentration or that the passage contains a lot of detail.

I found "Ivanhoe", by Sir Walter Scott, heavy reading.

(This is my interpretation. Someone else might be able to provide a better or an alternative explanation.)

That's what it means to me, too, Koronas.
