    Default A few for fun.

Six of one and half a dozen of the other.

    Swings and Roundabouts.

    Shank's Pony.

    On the Lamb.

    Cut and Run.

Give (or get) the cold shoulder.

    Social Standing.

    Pig in a Poke.

That's let the cat out of the bag.

    Enjoy!

None of these are in any way slang.

They are common idioms and expressions.

(And you mean 'on the lam'.)
