Question Welcome to take Taipei MRT?

There is a sign in our local MRT station, reads :
Welcome to take Taipei MRT (metro).

Please tell me -- is there any grammar issue here ?

    thank you.

I don't understand why take has been included there. I would prefer the.

Re: Welcome to take Taipei MRT?

'Thank you for taking the Taipei MRT' could be used (as a sign people could see when leaving), but 'Welcome to take' doesn't work.

Re: Welcome to take Taipei MRT?

That's fine. 'Train approaching' can also be used to save space, like a headline.
