    Its correct except for the preposition on. ( "....in the lottery......")

    I'd use in the lottery, but I think on is OK too- you win money on the horses, etc, in the UK at least.

    In the US, you can win on the horses, at the racetrack, in the lottery, on the Yankees, etc.

    Not a teacher only a native.

    I would say 'I have won 1 million on the lottery.' I'm from the UK so maybe it is different in the US or other countries.
