    Default Leaving out...

    Is it possible to say:
Leaving out that you've done something... or the same sentence with apart from in the beginning instead?
I know that both these forms can be used with direct objects (apart from this thing ..., for instance), so how to extend them properly to the case when it's needed to mention a situation, but not a separate object?

Are you asking about the following sentence samples?

Leaving out your grades this semester, you had a successful year in school.

Apart from your grades this semester, you had a great year.

Yes, I purported exactly this meaning - are the constructions with "that..." appropriate?

    The "that" is not needed.

    Omitting your grades, . . . .

    Besides your grades, . . . .

    Aside from your grades . . .

    Not counting your grades . . .

No, you seem to have misconstrued my question.
I was wondering if it's correct to use the form like Apart from that you've lost (smth), we had a great time.
If it isn't, then please answer how to reword this sort of sentences to make them correct in the general case. Just don't refer to the example I've written above, it was only to show what I mean exactly.

Ermm... So it is possible to use both of the forms together, and the sentence's meaning will be the same as with one of them?
