    Please check

    Please check the passage below:

Hundreds of thousands of Shiites from all across the country obeyed "Allah fighters'" Secretary General, Khaled Karimallah's call and took to the capital's streets, demanding the resignation of Suleiman Salim's government. This move was unsurprising since the Shiite is the largest sect in the country and it is already clear today that "Allah fighters" enjoys a broad backing of the Shiites in the state.

    Re: Please check

    It looks grammatical to me.

I cannot comment on the content.

    Re: Please check

Thank you, Rover. If you be so kind to check also the following sentence (as a continuation of the previous one):

The restraint which characterized the protesters' conduct was not surprising either. For the last few years "Allah fighters" has proven that it has firm control of its supporters who, by order of the organization, will either hold quiet and organized demonstrations or wage a war.

    Re: Please check

I would just change proven to proved.

    Re: Please check

Is it because 'proven' is used as an adjective?
