Please check the sentence mentioned below and let me know how to frame it in a better way.

I cooked pulse in the pressur cooker, it required five whistles. I asked my mother to turn off the gas after five whistles.

Who are you writing for? I ask because I did not know what you meant by five whistles and had to look it up: India's Whistling Pressure Cookers

What about?


  • I put pulse in the pressure cooker and had my mother turn off the gas after the fifth whistle.
  • It takes five whistles to cook pulse.
