Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

Bit even we miss things occasionally when a thief has covered his tracks well. (Halley’s “The Moneychangers”)

cover one’s tracks = conceal, obliterate the evidence

Thank you for your efforts.

Regards,

V
