May I say "did you want to say a grace"?

Hi, everybody!

May I say "did you want to say a grace" in sense "would you like to say a grace now"? So the word "did" is used not in the past simple form, but in form of subjunctive.

Both of these are fine, but neither houses the subjunctive:


  • Would you like to say grace? :tick:
  • Did you want to say grace? :tick:
