    get an attitude adjustement

    Hi

An older guy said to a younger one: Look, son, I've got my own problems, so I'm about five seconds from leaving your ass to the hyenas over there unless we get an attitude adjustment real fast.

Does it mean "come to terms"?

Unless the younger guy changes his attitude (stops being cocky or annoying or whatever he is doing that is annoying the other guy so much).
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
